The Reckoning

the Reckoning (independent film, 2025)

FIlm Synopsis

Inspired by Guy de Maupassant's Pierre et Jean (1888), The Reckoning is a visceral drama cloaked
in a knife edge psychological thriller. An inversion of the prodigal son parable, the film's disturbing
intensity is unrelenting, the focus constantly shifting, layering, unraveling, much like its main characters.

The Reckoning was filmed at the beautiful Outrelaise estate in Gouvix, France, where a tight-knit
team of 12 seasoned professionals brought the project to life over six incredible weeks.
